Personalised Gifts for Dog Lovers Under £30 (UK)
The short answer
The best personalised gifts for dog lovers carry the dog's name and get used every day: a silent ID tag (from £8), an AirTag holder (£9), a lead hook (from £15), a pet Christmas bauble (£10) or a 3D-printed dog bowl with their name on it (from £22). All of ours are 3D printed in Colchester in the colours you pick.

In this guide
Dog people are easy to buy for in one way: you already know what they love most. The trick is finding something with the dog's name on it that's useful, not another mug. Here are our ideas, grouped by the kind of dog owner you're buying for, all under £30 and all printed to order in Colchester.
For the new puppy
A new puppy means a new collar, and that collar legally needs a tag with the owner's name and address when the puppy is out in public. A personalised tag is a gift they'll use from the first walk.
- Silent dog ID tag, from £8. The puppy's name on the front, the owner's details on the back. It's printed in tough PETG, so it doesn't jingle. Small (25 mm) suits dogs under 10 kg, and you can add a spare identical tag for when the puppy grows into a bigger collar or loses one in the garden.
- Pet Christmas bauble, £10. "Puppy's first Christmas" with the year is a lovely keepsake.
If you're buying a tag as a gift, you'll need the owner's address and phone number for the back. If that spoils the surprise, a bauble or lead hook is easier.
For the dog who has everything
- Personalised dog bowl, from £22. A fully 3D-printed bowl with the dog's name raised on the outside, single or double, in three sizes. It's hand wash only and should be replaced when it gets scratched or chewed. Our guide to whether 3D printed dog bowls are safe explains the care, so the owner can decide if it suits their dog.
- Dog lead hook, from £15. A wall board with two or three hooks and the dog's name across the top. Each hook holds up to 2 kg, and screws and wall plugs are included. It ends the "where's the lead?" hunt every morning.
For the dog walker
- AirTag holder for a dog collar, £9. A slide-on holder that keeps an Apple AirTag flat against the collar, with the dog's name on top. The AirTag isn't included. It's a backup for finding a dog, not a replacement for an ID tag. Our guide to AirTag holders explains the limits.
- Slide-on collar name tag, £8. For dogs who hate a dangling tag. It sits flat on a 15, 20 or 25 mm collar.
- Name keyring with a paw icon, £4. For the walker's own keys. Add a paw to the dog's name and pick colours to match the collar.
The matching set (tag + bowl)
If you can't decide, the matching dog tag and bowl set is the one gift that does both. It pairs a single printed dog bowl with a 32 mm silent tag, made in the same colours and lettering. It's from £28, about £3 less than buying both separately.

Here's how everything compares at a glance:
| Gift | Price | Best for | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Silent dog ID tag | from £8 | New puppies, noisy tags | Needs the owner's address for the back |
| Slide-on collar tag | £8 | Dogs who hate dangling tags | Match the collar width |
| AirTag holder | £9 | iPhone owners | AirTag not included |
| Pet Christmas bauble | £10 | Everyone, every Christmas | Decoration, keep away from chewers |
| Dog lead hook | from £15 | The organised household | Screws and plugs included |
| Personalised dog bowl | from £22 | Their name where everyone sees it | Hand wash only; parcel delivery |
| Matching tag and bowl set | from £28 | The big present | Same colours and name on both |
Christmas ideas
Christmas is pet bauble season. A few ideas that work well together:
- A bauble for each pet in the house, all in the same colours, with the year.
- A bauble plus a new tag in matching colours, so the dog's present matches the tree.
- A stocking for the dog with a new tag, a slide-on tag for walks and a bauble for the tree, all under £30 together.
For Christmas post, order and pay by Tuesday 15 December. Our stocking fillers guide has more ideas for the humans.
What to write on a dog gift
A few tips for getting the words right:
- Check the spelling with someone who knows. Is it Bella or Bela? Alfie or Alfy? We print exactly what you type.
- Short names print biggest. On a tag, a 5-letter name looks bolder than a 10-letter one. Nicknames often work better than full pedigree names.
- On tags, the back is for the owner. Surname, address and a mobile number. The dog's name goes on the front.
- On baubles, add the year. It turns a decoration into a keepsake.
- Match the collar. If you know the collar colour, pick a tag colour that contrasts with it so it's easy to spot.
"The gifts people come back for are the ones the dog uses every day. A bowl with their name on gets seen twice a day."

FAQ
Can I buy a dog tag as a gift without knowing the address?
You'll need the owner's surname and address for the back, because that's what UK law asks a tag to show. If you can't get them, choose a bauble, lead hook or dog bowl instead.
Are the printed dog bowls safe?
The bowl is fully 3D printed in tough PETG. Hand wash it after use and replace it when it's scratched or chewed. Our dog bowl guide has the details, so the owner can make the call.
How long does it take?
We start your order within 24 hours and post it as soon as it's finished. Royal Mail usually takes 2–3 working days after that. Dog bowls go by Royal Mail Tracked 48.
Can I return a personalised gift?
Personalised items can't be returned if you change your mind, but if anything arrives faulty or wrong we'll remake it or refund you.
Do you make anything for cats?
Yes, a featherlight cat ID tag (£6) for breakaway collars, and the pet bauble works for cats too, with a fish icon.
