Hatch3D is a 3D printing studio in Colchester. Every piece is printed to order, in the colours you choose, then checked by hand before it ships.

Why Hatch3D
Most of what you buy is made in big batches somewhere far away, in one size that's meant to fit everyone. We work the other way round. Nothing is printed until you've ordered it, so it can be made to your measurements, with your name on it, in your colours.
That means a drawer organiser cut to your drawer, a house sign with your number, a replacement for the clip that snapped, a phone case drawn from Apple's own dimensions, or a dog tag that matches the bowl. You see it before you buy, and your order goes straight onto a printer in our Colchester studio. We start it within 24 hours.
The studio
Our printers lay down several colours in one go. That's how the names on keyrings and tags are raised in a second colour, as part of the piece.
We use two main plastics:

There are 41 colours in stock right now. Every one has a name and a swatch in the designer, so you can see your choice before you order. Screens vary a little, so if a colour really matters, message the team and we'll send a photo of a real print.
Where to find us
Order online any time. We post across Great Britain, or you can collect your order free from our Colchester office, by arrangement. We'll message you to arrange a time once it's ready.
How we keep things safe
We only sell things we're happy to stand behind. A few examples:
- Dog bowls are fully printed, so we tell you straight how to look after them: hand wash only, and replace them when they're worn.
- Dog tags are printed in PETG and come with a reminder to check them monthly.
- We don't sell toys yet. Before we do, each one will have a full safety file, testing and UKCA marking.
