Our personalised name necklace is a name bar pendant with the letters raised in a second colour, on a 45 cm stainless steel chain in silver or gold tone, from £12. All three are 3D printed in plastic in Colchester, so they're light, colourful and affordable, not precious metal.

A name is the simplest piece of jewellery there is, and one of the most personal. We print ours in colour, in Colchester, with the letters raised in a second shade. Here's how to choose the piece, font, finish and fit.
What is a 3D printed name necklace?
It's a name bar pendant printed in two colours of plastic, hung on a stainless steel chain.
The pendant is up to 50 × 11 × 3 mm and holds a name of up to 10 letters. The base is printed first, then the letters are raised on top in a second filament, so the name is part of the pendant rather than painted or engraved on. It comes on a 45 cm stainless steel chain, in silver tone or gold tone at the same price.
To be clear about what it isn't: the pendant is plastic, not gold or silver. That's what keeps it light (a few grams) and lets us print it in colours and finishes metal can't do, like glitter or a pearly colour shift.
Necklace, bracelet or bangle?
The necklace is the classic gift, the bracelet is the easy one for kids and matching sets, and the bangle has no clasp or knot at all.

The name bracelet is a little name plate on a black, red, navy or pink cord with a sliding knot.
The name bangle is an open cuff in tough, slightly flexible PETG, with the name raised 1 mm across the front. It slips on without a clasp.
Which font should I pick?
Script looks most like traditional name jewellery; rounded and bold read best from a distance; retro is all capitals with a bit of character.
- Script is the default on the necklace. It joins the letters into one flowing word, like "Amelia".
- Rounded is soft, friendly and easy to read on smaller pieces.
- Bold is heavy and clear, good for short names.
- Retro prints in capitals only, with a chunky, slightly playful shape.
- Comic (bracelet and bangle only) is capitals in a cartoon style that kids tend to love.
Short names print biggest. The designer shows the exact name in the exact font before you pay.
Which finish looks best?
Silk gives a metallic sheen, glitter sparkles, iridescent shifts colour, and matte keeps it soft and simple.
On the necklace and bracelet you choose the base and letter colours separately. Silk rose gold, gold and silver look closest to traditional jewellery next to the matching chain. Silk shifts in the light, so every print is slightly unique, and glitter shows best in daylight. Glitter and iridescent add a small amount to the price.

How do I get the right size?
The necklace chain is a fixed 45 cm, the bracelet cord adjusts from 14 to 22 cm, and the bangle comes in three sizes.
For the bangle, measure round the wrist with a strip of paper or a tape measure:
- Small: kids roughly 7–12, wrists up to 15 cm
- Medium: wrists 15–17 cm
- Large: wrists 17–19 cm
Buying as a surprise? The bracelet is the safer bet, because the cord adjusts.
How do I look after plastic jewellery?
Keep it dry, wipe it clean with a soft cloth, and keep it away from heat.
- Necklace: take it off for showers and swimming.
- Bracelet: fine for splashes, but take it off for swimming.
- Bangle: open the cuff gently to slip it on, and don't bend it right out.
- Heat: PLA softens above 50°C, so don't leave the necklace or bracelet on a sunny car dashboard.
- Sleep and sport: take the necklace and bracelet off for both.
None of these are toys. They have small parts (and the necklace has a chain), so they aren't suitable for children under 3.

FAQ
Is the chain real silver or gold?
No. It's stainless steel, in a silver tone or a gold tone. The pendant itself is plastic.
Can I have a name with accents?
Script, rounded and bold support accented letters. Retro doesn't, so pick another font for names like "Zoë".
Can I order matching sets?
Yes. Design one, add it to your basket, then change the name and colours for the next.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
Personalised pieces are made just for you, so they can't be returned for a change of mind. If anything arrives faulty or wrong, we'll remake it or refund you. See our returns page, or message the team.
