Step 1 of 2: Measure your cup holder and bottle
Use a ruler or calipers, in millimetres. If your cup holder tapers, measure across it about 1 cm up from the bottom.
Across the inside of the car's cup holder. 55–95 mm.
From the bottom of the cup holder to its rim. 25–100 mm.
Across the bottom of your bottle or tumbler. 1.2 litre (40 oz) tumblers are about 95–100 mm. 60–110 mm.
